QR Code Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the QR Code application (hereby referred to as "Application", "App", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience while using our App.

Information Collection and Use

QR Code is designed to function without requiring you to provide any personally identifiable information. All QR code scanning and generation activities are performed locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.

However, the app does use third-party services (such as Google Play Services, Apple App Store for subscriptions, and Firebase for crash analytics) that may collect certain information as described in their respective privacy policies.

Camera Permission

Our app requires camera access solely for scanning QR codes. The camera data is processed in real-time and locally on your device to decode QR codes. We do not store, upload, or transmit any images or video from your camera to our servers or any third-party services. The camera is only active when you are using the scan feature.

QR Code Data

When you scan a QR code, the decoded information is displayed to you and may be saved to your device's local storage as scan history for your convenience. This data remains on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. When you generate QR codes, the generated images are created locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.

Data Storage and Retention

All scan history and generated QR codes are stored locally on your device by the app. We do not have access to this local data. You can clear your scan history at any time through the app settings.

Please note: Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data on your device. However, this does not affect:

For data held by third-party services, please refer to their respective privacy policies and data retention practices.

Subscriptions and Payments

Our app offers premium features through subscription plans. All subscription purchases and payments are processed securely through:

We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). All payment data is handled directly by Google or Apple through their respective platforms. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status (active/inactive) and subscription tier from these platforms to unlock premium features in the app.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store or Apple App Store account settings. If you cancel, you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.

Depending on your device platform, the following third-party services may be used:

Device Identifiers and Local Storage

You can manage or reset device identifiers through your device settings. For iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. For Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads. Note that disabling these identifiers may affect certain app features or analytics accuracy.

We may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following purposes:

These third parties may collect technical data such as device information, IP address, app usage statistics, and crash logs as described in the Log Data section above. However, these third parties do not have access to your QR code scan history or generated QR code content, as this data remains stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to them.
